PracticeBase is free because am‑dram already runs on enthusiasm, late‑night rehearsals, and that one person who always brings biscuits. The last thing anyone needs is another subscription nibbling at the budget.
The whole idea is simple: give theatre groups a place where scripts, schedules, cast lists, and “wait, who has the props?” messages can finally live together in harmony instead of scattered across ten apps and three forgotten notebooks.
No paywalls, no “premium mode”, no sneaky upgrades. Just a genuinely
useful tool for people who love putting on shows — and would prefer
not to organise everything via a chaotic group chat ever again.
Also: payment APIs are very hard to integrate and honestly… I could not be bothered.
